This 8-week, full-time certificate program is designed to provide students with comprehensive, applied training in both foundational and contemporary tailoring techniques. The program focuses on developing practical skills in pattern drafting, garment construction, and fitting, using industry-recognized methods and standards.
Throughout the program, students will produce a range of tailored garments, which may include trousers, vests, and jackets. Instruction emphasizes precision, garment structure, appropriate fabric selection, and professional finishing techniques, including hand sewing and pressing.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Learning activities are structured to ensure students progressively develop competency through supervised, hands-on practice.
Students may elect to focus their project work on either women's or men's tailoring, allowing for alignment with individual learning goals while ensuring achievement of the program's established learning outcomes.
