    Katherine Teel

Katharine Teel is an honours graduate of The Cut’s Fashion Design & Creative Arts program. Drawing since childhood and home sewing since 2001, a passion for eclectic fashion and personal expression has been a lifelong motivator for her. After 15 years working as a development director for artists and designers in the video game industry and spending the last 2 years refining her creative skills at The Cut, Katharine now brings her unique perspective to the fashion industry. As an illustrator, Katharine is meticulous in her approach to rendering surfaces and details, working traditionally with coloured pencils, paints, and markers, as well as digitally with Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Prior to graduation, she designed a romantic and mesmerizing couture collection seen in The Cut’s student showcase at Vancouver Fashion Week SS 25, and is currently working towards releasing her own independent pattern line to inspire other home sewists.
