    Fashion Design and Illustration Level 1 (Virtual)

     

    Dip your toe in the exciting world of fashion design and illustration. Over six exciting weeks you’ll learn how to create an original croquis, make an inspiration board and craft detailed fashion illustrations.

     
     

    Important Notes

  • Classes of two or fewer students are considered private classes. In this instance, you’ll complete all assignments as listed but in six, not eight, weeks.
  • Housekeeping

  • Please arrive to class on time
  • If you’re going to miss class for any reason, please email in advance to let us know. If you fail to report your absence within 24 hours, your class will be considered a missed session and no make up class will be provided
  • You’re permitted one make up class per session, as long as it’s taken within the time frame of your course and as long as a spot becomes available during another class

    Magali

    Magali has a diploma in Design and Modelism from l’Institut Superieur des Art Appliques in Paris and has been working for 12 years for the fashion industry with successful brands. She started her career at Maje in Paris as a knitwear designer and was quickly involved in the collection process from concept to final fit for 8 years.
    Fully responsible for ensuring that product was consistent with market trends and business strategy. She is experienced in sketching and rendering.
    Creative, innovative, attention to details and focus on brand’s DNA, she has strong ability to create and design into concept.

    Micol Joanka

    Micol Joanka is a Sardinian Artist and multifaceted Designer which has been professionally involved in Art, Fashion, Film and Theatre for more than two decades. Micol, moved to Canada in 2018, first to Vancouver Island and now, one month ago, to Vancouver, with her husband, a Canadian writer, and her two precious Italian cats. In Canada, Micol worked mainly as an Interior Designer and Decorator and during the year of the pandemic she concentrated creative efforts working on her first written and illustrated book and the updating of her portfolio, and developing her personal brand, focused on handmade and hand painted items using organic fabrics and all natural materials.
